Something not working, or have a suggestion?
Write to business@dpeuscher.de. Helpful: your device and iOS version, what kind of code it is (QR, barcode, from a photo or the camera) and what the app shows.
Open Scan and point the camera at the code. To read a code from a picture, tap Scan from photo or screenshot; for a PDF, tap Scan from PDF or share the PDF from another app to QR Workshop. All pages are searched. If the PDF is password-protected, the app asks for the password; it is only used on your device to read the file and is not saved. If there are several codes, a list shows each one once; pick the one you want. QR Workshop reads QR, Aztec, Data Matrix and PDF417 as well as the common barcodes EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39 and ITF.
If the camera stays black, allow camera access under Settings › QR Workshop › Camera. Codes from photos and screenshots work without camera access.
These notices are guidance, not a guarantee that a link is safe. No notice does not mean a link is harmless.
For a known short link, tap Resolve short link…. QR Workshop asks first. Only if you agree does it send HEAD requests to the short link service and to each redirect (at most five). Those providers see your IP address. The destination is not opened; the app checks it again locally and shows it to you. The consent applies to this one operation only. Without it, the local preview stays available.
A scanned Wi-Fi code shows the network name and offers Join network. iOS asks for confirmation. If joining fails, copy the password and join under Settings › Wi-Fi.
Under Create, choose link, text, Wi-Fi, contact, email or phone, fill in the fields and share the code as PNG or PDF. Codes are created on your device.
Under 3D Print, choose card, stand or wall sign, enter the network details and adjust size, base thickness, code height and label. Export:
A printer, material and suitable slicer settings are required. Bambu Studio may report that the file has an invalid configuration and load geometry only; the parts still arrive. In PrusaSlicer the base uses extruder 1 and the code extruder 2. If PrusaSlicer reports a conflict with the wipe tower on an Original Prusa XL after slicing, choose “Arrange” (key A) once and slice again. Check that your finished print scans correctly, and make the sign wider if the app warns that the modules are very small.
Every scan lands in History on this device. Search it, swipe to delete single entries, or use Delete all. Scanning the same code again moves it to the top.
